The Buddha Ascends to Heaven

In the seventh year of his enlightenment, the Buddha spent the vassa in Heaven where his mother, Queen Maha Maya, resided. He delivered sermons to the queen and to the devas. Upon listening to the Buddha’s sermons, the queen attained the level of Bodhisatta.
