Ananda's Ordination

When the Buddha visited his homeland city of Gabilabahd for the first time after enlightenment, many Sakyan princes entered the monkhood, including prince Ananda, the Buddha's cousin. As a bhikkhu, Ananda was the Buddha’s personal attendant and was witness to most of the Buddha's teachings.
