Siddhartha the Archer |
|
When the prince was seven years old, his father sent him to learn many subjects,
including archery. The prince mastered all of these subjects at the age of
sixteen. King Suddhodana invited all of his relatives to see the prince’s
talent in archery. A thousand men could not draw the bow Sahusthamdhanu.
But Siddhartha was able to draw the bow himself. When he stretched the bowstring,
the vibrating
sound of the string echoed throughout the entire city of Gabilabahd. |
