Current Projects:

Wat Florida Dhammaram is constructing replicas of the sacred places of pilgrimage to honor Lord Buddha, as they are found in India: Mahabodhi Temple of Bodgaya India, Dhamekha Stupa of Sarnath, The Nirvana Temple of Kusinara. Siri Maha-Mayadevi Vihara of Lumbini, (The Lumbini project was completed in B.E. 2543 {2000}).
Because of the increasing interest throughout the Western Hemisphere to the teachings of Lord Buddha, these replicas will be offered for education and study in addition to being places of pilgrimage. Ground breaking for construction was held on Visakha Puja Day, May 26, B.E. 2545 (2002). This project will be completed by the beginning of B.E. 2547 (2004).

At Wat Florida Dhammaram our mission and purpose is to provide a religious sanctuary to all of those faithful and interested in the teachings of Lord Buddha. Our monastery observes religious functions of the Buddhist calendar,observes Thai cultural festivals and provides daily chanting and meditation practice. All are welcome.

Chanting and Meditation:

• Morning Chanting and Meditation: 6:00-7:00 A.M.
• Evening Chanting and Meditation: 7:00-8:00 P.M. EST (6:00-7:00 P.M., DST)
• Sunday Afternoon Dhammadesanaa (Sermon): 1:00 P.M.
