New Year Ceremony
At Wat Florida Dhammaram
With the old year ending we are
aware of the cycle of life rotating continuously. We take this imaginary
time of “New Years” to pause and reflect on our joys and sorrows. When
we reflect with wisdom we see that our minds improve steadily, along
with the good and the bad, when we practice virtue, cultivate mindfulness
and are charitable to others. As we move into another calendar
year, we must reflect wisely on the teachings of Lord Buddha, to detach
the mind from craving so as to lift the mind from the causes of suffering,
and to foster charitable interaction with others. Therefore, to have a good start
for the New Year, we would like to invite you to come and join us at
Wat Florida Dhammaram to celebrate with us at this time of reflection
and sharing. Program December
